Luminous and sophisticated, Baccarat Rouge 540 lays on the skin like an amber floral and woody breeze. A poetic alchemy composed by Francis Kurkdjian, where the aerial notes of jasmine and the radiance of saffron carry mineral facets of ambergris and woody tones of a freshly-cut cedar wood. Like a true alchemy of senses, its graphic, highly condensed olfactory signature delivers floral, ambery, and woody notes inspired by crystal’s fusion process.

It was in 2014, on the occasion of Baccarat’s 250th anniversary, that the collaboration with Maison Francis Kurkdjian saw the light. During their encounter, the secrets behind the iconic scarlet red crystal inspired the creation of this unique fragrance. In a stunning metamorphosis, clear crystal gradually fuses with 24-karat gold powder at 540 degrees Celsius (1,004°F) and turns bright red:
it’s the rouge à l’or (red made of gold). That is how Baccarat Rouge 540 was born.
